When I installed my Valentine One radar detector I used the visor mount on the passenger visor and hardwired the power source inside the sunroof control panel. This puts the main unit to the right of the rear view mirror:

The factory service manual (volume 4, page 11-387) shows the inside rear view mirror is connector A10 and with RPO UAV (navigation radio) pin 2 (pink) has ignition power and pin 5 (black/white) has ground.

I put the remote display in the center console storage, recessed so that I can hide it by closing the door:
