[OnStar]
Black CTS-V:
Mods: OnStar Neutering

It's possible to disable OnStar on a 2nd gen CTS and retain Bluetooth support. It's a simple matter of opening up the "telematics" module and removing a board to board jumper. I did something similar with my 2007 Z06.

The module is located above the glove box:

After unplugging the module, open it and remove the top/main board. Remove the board-to-board jumper, assemble, and install.

Once completed you'll have a red led on rear view mirror and a Tech2 scan tool will report a "problem" with the telematics module but otherwise you should not see any fallout.
